We are looking for an energetic, dynamic and confident person ssocial media manager with minimum five+ years of experience in a social media role. The Social Media Manager is ultimately responsible for the proper functioning of our clients’ accounts: strategically, operationally, creatively and financially.

Main responsibilities:

As a Social Media Manager, your main focus will be the strategy/planning, execution, management and optimization of all social media projects, both for our clients and for the internal agency.


  • Play an advisory role on client engagements, serving as a strategic social media advisor to account managers and clients.
  • Develop unique strategies and build on current client strategies that meet/exceed goals.
  • Perform a detailed assessment of the client’s business environment, including the client’s needs, capabilities/assets, and competitive realities to identify unique market opportunities and threats.
  • Lead the design of insight-driven strategies, from identifying opportunities to defining experience.
  • Proactively stay abreast of assigned clients’ social and media marketing plans and provide technology solutions including rich media, promotional ideas, mobile, social media, viral, etc.

Ad management:

  • Manage social media campaigns and daily activities. Plan, execute and engage in regular social promotions and paid advertising campaigns, build the right targeted audiences and track their success.
  • Manage presence on social networking sites including Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and other similar community sites, posting to relevant blogs and distributing content to social apps as needed.

Content/community management:

  • Oversee and develop the overall design of all social media platforms, landing pages and content marketing materials.
  • Become an advocate for our clients’ brand in social media spaces, engage in dialogues and answer questions as appropriate, including emerging social platforms, such as Pinterest, Google+ and Instagram.
  • Conceptualize, edit, write, and rewrite articles, features, ad copy, and other content.
  • Include conducting online advocacy, writing editorial articles, community outreach efforts, contests, etc.
  • Increase the number of blog subscribers and expand the overall reach of the blog.

Analysis and reports:

  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review and report on the effectiveness of campaigns with the goal of maximizing results.
  • Measure monthly campaign results (ROI and KPI) and compile monthly customer reports – ROI, CTR, CPM on various monthly customer accounts.
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into social media campaign review recommendations and plans.

Launch :

  • Promotes, prepares and presents winning pitches and strategic presentations.
  • Demonstrate an ongoing ability to work collaboratively with our company management on tenders, tenders, meetings and presentations.


  • South African citizens (only).
  • Relevant degree or diploma.
  • Minimum five years and over experience managing social media accounts and programs in an intermediate role.
  • Experience in ORM tools/using third party social media monitoring tools.
  • Very good knowledge of technology/web and in-depth knowledge of web/interactive.
  • Wordsmith – excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
