Quark Unveils Smart Content Toolkit in New Version of Content Automation Platform

Quark Software has introduced a new version of the company’s content automation platform.

Quark’s content automation platform was designed to transform the lifecycle of business critical content, from creation and management to publication and delivery. The new version improves the usability of the platform and the accessibility of the output, and offers a whole new toolkit focused on accelerating the speed of value creation.

The latest version of Quark Content Automation Platform includes the Smart Content Toolkit, a set of features designed to facilitate rapid deployment of content automation and accelerate time to value. The Intelligent Content Toolkit provides a user interface-based approach to tasks that previously required code development. This reduces the need for developer skill sets by simplifying content modeling and style sheet development, which in turn helps increase project speed.

According to Dave White, CTO for Quark, the new Smart Content Toolkit accelerates the road to results by “an order of magnitude in time”, allowing what took months to be done in a week, which took weeks. to do. in days, and what took days to do in hours.

The toolkit includes Smart Content Designer and Smart Content Builder, both of which minimize the need for complex XML skills.

Smart Content Designer: This release helps designers apply styles to enterprise publication templates using the layout power of QuarkXPress. Users can define new styles for corporate document templates, preview the results, and generate new personalization features using metadata conditions.

Smart content generator: The public beta enables information architects to quickly create new types of content in Quark Publishing Platform. Users can create new templates with a user interface and enjoy the benefits of Smart Content, without needing to know XML schema syntax.

The latest version of the content automation platform also brings advancements in terms of usability, accessibility of outputs, collaborative review, verification, API updates, infrastructure modernization, XMP metadata, as well as additional functionality.
