enChoice, a provider of digital transformation solutions, announced an asset purchase agreement with MagicLamp Software to acquire MagicLamp’s proprietary software “accelerators” library and corporate brand assets.
Concurrently, enChoice has engaged MagicLamp co-founder and former CEO Scott Power to support enChoice in the continued integration of MagicLamp’s customer relationships and technologies into enChoice’s smart capture business.
“Having already been introduced by Scott to several high-profile MagicLamp customer accounts, I have seen firsthand the extraordinary level of trust and goodwill MagicLamp has earned in our space. We are excited to continue this legacy by introducing enChoice’s extensive suite of content automation solutions and services to these customers,” said Darrell Royal, President of enChoice’s Enterprise Division.
As an IBM Gold Business Partner, MagicLamp has been recognized for its industry leadership in providing high value-added intelligent capture solutions based on the IBM Datacap platform.
Acquired by IBM in 2010, Datacap remains at the heart of IBM’s business automation platform as a starting point for content ingestion, scanning, automated document classification and data extraction.
Among the software assets enChoice acquired through this transaction are several solution accelerators that improve the operational efficiency and ease of deployment of Datacap:
- Cloud OCR Connector
- Data migration tool
- Cognitive correction module
- Improved email extractor
- ERP Data Gateway Module
- Improved Flexible ID
The transaction also includes a library of over 65 custom software modules providing more specialized functional applications.
“We will work with enChoice to transition the considerable base of IBM Datacap customers and prospects from MagicLamp to enChoice,” Power said. “We are confident that our customers will experience a seamless transition, without the disruption of the expert support they have come to expect over the years, and I look forward to personally supporting the compelling vision that enChoice is pursuing in this space.”
